In 2025, the Big Ten joins the ACC, Big XII and SEC, by having a 30-game conference schedule. Aligning with their fellow power conference peers on the number of league games, the Big Ten season starts the weekend of March 7-9. As the conference cut down the number of competitive weekends in advance of league play from five to three, there's was going to be changes to who, when and where Big Ten teams played in February and March. One noticeable change from years past is quite clear, a reduced slate of non-conference weekend series against Power Conference opponents.
Including the conference by week, Big Ten teams have four weekends to fill. On the heels of looking at which Big Ten teams will play neutral-site, non-conference tournaments, as well as conference bye week opponents, here's a rundown of which teams have a fellow conference opponent on the schedule for either a weekend set of at least two games, a two-game midweek set, or a midweek home-and-home set.
Of the conference's 17 teams, seven will not have any of the three on their 2025 schedule, while Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska lead the way with seven contests.
